v0.7.2 · MVP complete · launch Q4 2026

A Czech GDPR plugin that finally speaks Czech.

Cookie banner, script blocking, legal texts written by a Czech lawyer — and everything updates automatically when the law changes.

Freemium · GPL-2.0 · PHP 8.0+ · WordPress 6.0+

Why it exists

01

Existing plugins (CookieYes, Complianz, Iubenda) localise their UI to Czech, but their legal texts are generic EU templates. Czech specifics — Act 127/2005, ÚOOÚ (the Czech DPA) guidance, local case law — simply aren't in them.

02

Good Czech legal copy from a lawyer costs 15 000 to 50 000 CZK up front, and once it's written nobody checks whether it still holds. The law shifts and the client never hears about it.

03

Free alternatives often ship a banner but don't block the scripts. Consent is technically "given" long after GA4 and Meta Pixel have already loaded.

What Souhlas does

Cookie banner under § 89 of Act 127/2005

Opt-in regime, four categories (necessary / functional / analytics / marketing), three positions, three layouts, fully tunable colours and typography. WCAG 2.1 AA.

Script blocking before consent

GA4, GTM, Meta Pixel, TikTok, Hotjar, Clarity — plus Czech specifics: Sklik, Seznam Retargeting, Leady, Smartsupp, Heureka, Zboží.cz, Mapy.cz. Embeds for YouTube, Vimeo, Google Maps.

Google Consent Mode v2

Full signal implementation, default denied, category-level granularity. Properly wired into gtag — not a stapled-on patch.

Legal texts from a Czech lawyer

Privacy policy, cookie policy, customer information memo for e-shops, newsletter consent template. Licensed templates, kept up to date — not translated from English.

Cloud updates for legal texts

When the law changes or ÚOOÚ issues new guidance, the lawyer updates the central templates. The client gets a notification, a diff, and accepts the update with one click.

Consent log on your server

Consent records in your local DB, not our cloud. Hashed IP, 3-year retention, CSV/JSON export for a potential ÚOOÚ audit.

Setup wizard and scanner

Five steps from install to done. The scanner crawls the site in a headless browser, detects every cookie and tracker, and suggests categorisation.

Elementor, Gutenberg, WooCommerce integrationsNEW

Elementor widget, Gutenberg block, a GDPR checkbox for WooCommerce checkout. Plus hooks into WPForms, Contact Form 7, Gravity, Fluent, and Elementor Forms.

What it recognises

A slice of the library of services Souhlas can already detect and block. The full catalogue with search will live on the plugin's own site.

How it differs from the competition

  • The only plugin with legal texts written by a Czech lawyer.
  • Covers the Czech reality: Sklik, Seznam, Leady, Smartsupp, Heureka, Zboží, Mapy.cz.
  • Texts auto-update when the law changes (cloud sync).
  • Prices in CZK, Czech invoicing, Czech support.
  • Not just cookies — personal data processing, e-shop, audit trail in one.

Who it's mainly for

E-shop owners and small businesses

WooCommerce stores, guest houses, restaurants, doctors, lawyers — anyone on WordPress who worries about an ÚOOÚ audit.

Agencies with client sites

A central dashboard for GDPR across all your clients. White-label branding, bulk updates, one licence covering multiple sites.

Lawyers and DPOs

A plugin built by a lawyer for lawyers — texts you won't be embarrassed to show a colleague.

How it'll run

Install the plugin from WP.org

The free tier on WordPress.org gives you the banner and script blocking. For legal texts and scanner, activate a paid tier.

Walk through the setup wizard

Five steps: IČO from ARES, detection of installed services, cookie categories, banner design, legal text generation.

It runs on its own

The scanner watches for new cookies, the cloud delivers text updates, and the consent log records every consent. Switch it on and move on.

Frequently asked

Who writes the legal copy?

A Czech lawyer in a rev-share partnership with Souhlas. It's not a translation of EU templates — the copy is written against Act 127/2005, ÚOOÚ guidance, and specific Czech services (Sklik, Heureka, etc.).

What happens when the law changes?

The lawyer updates the central templates in the hub. The client gets a notification in the admin UI, reviews a diff (what changed and why), and accepts the update with one click. No waiting on a new plugin release.

Do you store consent on your servers?

No. The consent log lives in the client's local WordPress database. Hashed IP (SHA-256), 3-year retention, automatic pruning of expired records. We only see anonymised aggregates, and only if the client opts in.

Can I use it without a paid licence?

Yes. The free tier on WP.org includes the banner, script blocking, and a basic consent log. Legal texts, scanner, cloud updates, and GCM v2 sit in the paid tiers.

Does it support WooCommerce?

Yes, from MVP. A GDPR checkbox on checkout, an information memo template, an "Anonymise" audit button on the order detail. The Business tier adds e-shop-specific documents.

When will it actually ship?

MVP is in progress; public launch is planned for Q4 2026. During Q3 2026 we'll run a closed beta with selected agencies and lawyers. Want to be among the first? Write in.

Want to be among the first to try Souhlas?

MVP is done (v0.7.2), beta planned for Q3 2026, public launch Q4. If you run a site or an agency where this would fit, write in — I'll add you to early access and show you the current build.
